Art Model Blog #1
Our Browns were doing quite badly and we needed to fix something soon. We hardly had any fans turning out for our games and our team was struggling. It seemed like we hadn’t won a game in ages. I as the owner wanted to fix something fast. I either needed to find a new city to move my team somewhere else because our fan base was strongly diminishing. I had many ideas of things I could do, but none of them seemed to work. I was running out of places that I could move my Browns. We hadn’t even had a .500 record in at least five years. It was growing to be very pathetic and I was becoming quite frustrated. I just didn’t know what to do. I was getting old and I was definitely past due on winning a Superbowl. I always thought to myself, “Why, why can’t I just win one Superbowl? What should I do?” There were still quite a few fans that were still loyal to our sad, sad franchise. Then there were also many very frustrated fans who couldn't get over that we just weren't winning games. My life was moving very slowly right now as I went from season to season with the same sad story when we had a losing record. I many times told the public that I was as frustrated as they were and they just said, "Then why don't you do something about it?" Then I had my fans against me too. What could be worse?" They were all complaining and telling me things like, "Man, he's too old to be an owner!" I absolutely was beginnning to hate the city of Cleveland. Right then and there I looked in to a move, possibly to somewhere on the east coast. I didn't know. All of a sudden everything had began to change pase and start moving faster.
